Ways To Heal After Narc Abuse

Using gratitude to heal after narc abuse is a powerful way to raise your Law of Attraction vibration.

Whilst it’s important to visualize and imagine your dream life, it’s equally important to be grateful for the life you currently live. Energy attracts energy and if you are feeling miserable about your present conditions or are feeling low after narcissist abuse if you don’t work on healing you will attract miserable energy.

If you are going to heal after narc abuse and attract a better next partner you need to raise your energy level above the soul suckers and gratitude is a great tool to use.

Gratitude means being entirely thankful for what you have now, as well as always being ready to appreciate and help others. Gratitude is one of the primary keys to living a happy and prosperous life. For when you show gratitude for what you have, it shows the universe that you are positive about all life has to offer.

It’s likely that you feel like the narcissist has sucked you dry and you struggle to find meaning and joy in life but this will pass. Finding small things to be thankful for will speed up your healing time after narcissist abuse.

Creating Daily Gratitude

We are so busy in our daily lives, so how do we practice an attitude of gratitude? Well, the easiest path is through mindfulness practice.

Mindfulness simply means “paying attention on purpose.” Intentionally bringing your attention and your focus to the details and the experience of one chosen thing. You can be mindful of anything, your breath, the food you eat, or even vacuuming the floor. Just be fully present and experience something as it is happening at the moment. Think of all the reasons to be thankful.

Taking the time to be thankful and focus your attention intentionally can change the imbalance of the chemical circuitry in your brain and help you to shift out of your negative thought patterns. Other research has discovered that mindful awareness practices can enhance the body’s general functioning and promote healing, immune response, stress reactivity, and provide you with a general sense of physical well-being.

Rather than thinking ‘I really hate cleaning the bathroom’, think of reasons to be grateful about the task in hand. Be thankful that you have a bathroom, express gratitude that you can easily move around to clean.
Spending time being grateful opens up your mind to seeing more good. It lifts your energy field and makes you much more likely to attract lots of other good things into your life.

Gratitude Meditation Script

As well as practicing mindfulness try and do this meditation script daily and you will become more aware of the everyday miracle of life and all the possibilities it has to offer as well as using gratitude to increase the law of attraction.

Sit in a comfortable chair and close your eyes.

Start by slowly breathing in through your nose. This will extend your abdomen and cause your diaphragm to pull air into the bottom of your lungs which will provide your body with a healthy dose of oxygen, and help you to become more relaxed. Count to five then exhale through your mouth.

As you slow your breathing down, allow your muscles to begin to relax. Once you feel relaxed and comfortable start to think about everything that you are grateful for in your life. The more that you are grateful for, the more you’ll receive in your life.

Now imagine your perfect life. Feel the feelings, smell the smells, really imagine yourself living it as if it’s happening now. Who are you with? Where are you? What do you look like? What are you doing? The brain doesn’t know the difference between an imagined thought and a real thought and by meditating your perfect life, the brain will go out into the real world and bring about ways to make it become your reality. The brain likes to prove you are right.

It’s also useful practice to write down your thoughts. For this exercise, you’ll need to purchase a notebook or journal to keep by your bedside. Each evening, prior to going to sleep, sit quietly and bring your attention to your breath, keeping your head relaxed.

Close your eyes, relax and think through the events of your day. Visualize those events as they occurred, be sure to pay close attention to moments that contained acts of kindness, laughter, or beauty. Pay attention to how your body feels and the sensations in your mind. How was your day? What kind of thoughts arise?

When you’ve completed reviewing your day, gently bring your attention back to your breath. Open your eyes and write down your observations in the journal.

Start noticing the things that occur each day for which you are grateful. These things can be big or small; it doesn’t matter. The magnitude of what you are identifying isn’t essential, what’s important is that you are noticing things that you can appreciate about the day. You may be grateful for a person, for opportunities that were presented to you, for a good cup of coffee or a lovely sunset.

Every night, before you go to sleep, write down the things that you were grateful for throughout your day and once a week, sit down and review your journal entries.

Gratitude Reminders

It is extremely easy to forget to do something, especially when you are trying to form a new habit. Placing visual reminders around your home or workspace can help you stay on track with your gratitude goals.

Create reminders that will prompt you throughout the day to think about gratitude, or merely to pause and reflect.

Carry a small stone in your pocket. When you put your hand in your pocket and feel the rock, pause for a moment and reflect on gratitude.

Place a note on your office wall, refrigerator at home, or bathroom mirror that says, “I am grateful.” When you read it, think about something you are grateful for.

Gratitude has the power to transform your life dramatically and is something that can be quickly learned. As you begin to notice the good that is surrounding your life and start to show gratitude for everything you have, you will begin to become happier and more content with your life.

The more time you spend focusing on gratitude, the less focus and time is spent ruminating over the narcissist. If you find your thoughts keep wandering back to the narcissist try wearing an elastic band on your wrist. Every time you find yourself thinking about the narcissist, pull the band and let go. Imagine that thought being catapulted out of the other side of your wrist and away from you. Then go back to thinking of things you are grateful for.

By feeling grateful, your vibrational level increases, you raise your positive energy fields and you become like a magnet. The law of attraction starts working and manifesting more and more positive experiences that match that vibration.

Practicing these techniques will encourage your mind and spirit to focus on something other that the narcissist. You will start to feel better and thoughts of the narcissist will feature less in your life.
